So the cliffhanger at the end of the last episode lead to absolutely nothing. Not that the move was particularly surprising.
As a consolation, this time we get lots of Tsudere and Maids!
I don’t know what a native Japanese speaker would think of the increasingly loose censors language. I can only assume they find Swearing in English funny because they seem to throw it around like nobody’s business.
After a bit of Tsundere pouting from Yozora about not getting to go to the festival with Kodaka, we get to see Rika, Sena and Yozora try out the Maid outfit that Yukimura used to wear.
Honestly I was a little disappointed by Rika’s look plus her style was really really annoying. It may be the stereotypical maid personality but I still felt Sena’s style was a little plain. I think the Yozora in the one frame looks the best hands down.
Also, I like how in the transitions that show halfway through the episode, only the Kodaka (pudding head) figure is left after Rika is eliminated. Makes me wonder what they’ll do with it in the next time around.
The second half explores fortune telling and the tricks used by “fortune tellers”.
Again, Sena is tricked by Yozora into doing something stupid. This time though, she seemed to really be hurt by Yozora’s prank and the mood gets heavy. Luckily, Kobato shows up, Sena fawns over her and decides to forgive Yozora since she did have a stroke of luck.
Unfortunately, the buzz of the series is wearing off for me. I had some fun watching this episode, but it was nowhere near the previous 5. Hopefully the next episode will revive the feeling.
